Petition the State Administrative Chair with the appropriate information
	Deadline - 3 days after the last state qualifying meet

	Petition Form, completely filled out with all the correct information
	Photocopy of one pre-state sanctioned meet results from the current season (at the level they are petitioning) showing a score one point (1.0) greater than the regional qualifying score.
	Doctor's written verification of the injury or illness and the date when the gymnast may return to gymnastics activity.
	Written request by Coach or parent stating the reason for the petition. Reasons may be: illness, injury or personal tragedy.
	Level 9 gymnast may submit her previous year's Regional or East / West score as her pre-state meet score if her optional AA score was at least one point (1.00) greater than the current year's level 9 Regional qualifying score.
	Level 10 gymnast may submit her previous year's Regional or National score as her pre-state meet score if her optional AA score was at least one point (1.00) greater than the current year's level 9 Regional qualifying score.
	Physician's written verification of illness or injury and date of release for return to activity
	Written request from the coach or parent

Level 8 Regional Championship
The following must be received by the RTCC (Pat Panchias) no later than 3 days after your state's 8-9-10
 State Championship.

	Petition Form, completely filled out with all the correct information
	Photocopy of one pre-state sanctioned meet results from the current season (at the level they are petitioning) showing a score one point (1.0) greater than the regional qualifying score.
	Doctor's written verification of the injury or illness and the date when the gymnast may return to gymnastics activity.
	Written request by Coach or parent stating the reason for the petition. Reasons may be: illness, injury or personal tragedy.
	If the gymnast competed in the previous year's Level 8 Regional Championships and her optional AA score was at least one point (1.00) higher than the current Regional qualifying score, she may submit her last year's Regional score as her pre-meet score
	If the qualification to Level 8 Regional Championships is by a percentage or by a specific number, petitions will not be allowed. New York State / Region 6 uses this procedure.
	Physician's written verification of illness or injury and date of release for return to activity
	Written request from the coach or parent

Entry Form & Fees
Are mailed to the Regional Chair (Kathy Ostberg) and may be submitted with the Regional Entries at the State Championship. If a petition is declined, entry fees will be returned.

We do not want to close out an athlete because of a missed deadline.

In Region 6, notifications of acceptance of petitions will be made one week after the petition deadline. When and if the Coach realizes the petition Athlete CANNOT participate in the Regional Championships, the Coach must immediately notify the RCC
