1. USAG/NYS State Comittee has approved this years USAG/NYS Official. Their names are posted below.
2. USAG CPE Credit Coordinators are selected by the SCC.

Upstate CPE Coordinator: now open. Any upstate USAG Official interested in this position should e-mail the SCC
 Clarification: The only membership required to judge a USAG sanctioned competition is a valid USAG Professional Membership.

It lists our USAG/NYS Officials Judging Pol by name, area code, e-mail address and soon to be added the Officials USAG Rating.
This page has existed for over 15 years. Any USAG/Officials wishing to have their names removed from this list should e-mail the SCC (Citygames@aol.com).
 This "Officials Page" will become a "USAG/NYS Judging Pool" for ALL USAG/NYS Meet Directors to use IF THEY WISH
for DIRECT HIRING of USAG/NYS Officials. This may help officials with Compulsory Only ratings get employment with large 2-3 day
Invitational Competitions.

A USAG/NYS Meet Directors Page will be posted in the near future outlining the Rights of USAG/NYS Meet Directors.

Please understand per the Rules and Policies that:

  • Meet Directors, except State Championship, have the right to hire there own officials, use a non-assignor or use the USAG NYS Assignors.

  • The three primary hiring criteria in the USAG National Program:
    (1) Meet Director Choice of Officials, (2) Official's Closest to the Competition, (3) USAG Assignor/Availability.
    Upstate Meet Directors request judges in writing with a "Request for Judges Form" to the approved assignor, along with three alternates. 
    This is a USAG Policy. (V.Stoughton) Downstate Meet Directors, next season will follow the same USAG procedure.    The SCC has an additional
    procedure recommendation: All Officials will send the SCC their availability on every weekend during the competition
    season which will be posted on our website on the "Officials Pool Page" for transparency.

  • Rotation of Officials is not required

  • Holding a specific rating does not insure a judging assignment. Once the availability of judges has been established, the assignors must consider:
    (1) requests by the Meet Director for specific judges or specific ratings, (2) the minimum rating required to judge the specific meet, (3) Geographical location of the meet,

USAG Assignment of New York State Officials to Sanctioned Competitionsthis is an excerpt for the USAG Rules & Policies

  • Name designation: The "contractors/assignors" are now "USAG Contractors/Assignors" who will be appointed by the USAG NYS Board.

  • The New York State Web Site www.newyorkstategymnastics.com / USAG Assignment Page will post all USAG sanctioned competitions
    with the respective judging assignments (name, event, meet referee). This is for transparency for both the Officials and Meet Directors.

  • The USAG Gymnastics Judges Compensation package will be used by the State of New York State Championships.
