USAG New York
State J.O. Age Divisions
Age
Determination. Before
we get into what the age divisions are for each level we first must understand
the rule regarding age determination.
Minimum Age.
There is a minimum age that a gymnast can compete and it is stated in the age
division breakdown below. This rule is an exception to Age Determination because
even if a gymnast reaches the minimum age for her level by the date of the
Championship Meet, she is not eligible to compete in qualifying meets until she
has had her birthday and is currently at the minimum age.
